We do not buy and sell like a lot of barns do. Horses that come into our lives do so for a reason and get sold only if a wonderful forever-home comes along. Most of our horses for sale or lease earn their keep as horses in our school program. Ask about your favorite horse–they may not be listed yet. The horses that are for sale or lease are listed first, then the horses that are only available for lease are at the bottom. Please give us a call for further information. Leasing a Horse  

Leasing is a wonderful way to ease into horse ownership and a great supplement to regular lessons, because it gives students a chance to practice what they are learning in lessons on their own between lessons. In order to lease, the student  must be able to safely retrieve the horse from pasture, groom and tack up, and be able to safely and correctly handle the horse on the ground. The student must also be able to ride safely at the walk and trot, with correct diagonals. The student will be able to ride the leased horse on-property during normal barn hours, and after the first month of leasing, will be expected to provide their own (safe and correctly-fitted) helmet, saddle, saddle pad, and girth, as well as grooming supplies. A riding helmet must be worn at all times while mounted, and if the student is under 18 years of age, they must be supervised by an adult. The lease includes four lessons per month. PK can answer additional questions about the leasing program. Leasing is $600.00 per month.

• Description: Perry is one of our rescue horses; he is very sweet but can be skittish because of what we believe to be vision problems. He is ground school educated, is just starting work under saddle. He loads, ties, bathes, stands for the farrier and vet. We think he would make a really great companion horse or pasture ornament, although he does have beautiful gaits; he would be a dream to ride if the right person were to put in the time to train him for riding. • Description: Dominic was born under the care of Bill and PK Theobald; his mother, Hannah, still lives with us. Both are beautiful chocolate palominos with adorable dapples. Dominic is very comfortable to ride and has four excellent gaits: he can walk, trot, gait, and canter–his canter is a lot of fun! He has excellent ground school skills and is comfortable in both English and Western tack; he can be ridden in a halter or a bridle. He loads, ties, clips, bathes, stands for the farrier and vet.
